blah blah history ☾ marze village onward
--I just realized the history section of hers is incomplete so I’ll continue from Marze Village.
On the behest of Egras, the group head to the continent of Laceur to gain more information on the Sorcery Globe. Their first order of business would be to visit the King in the capital. However, due to the preparations of the Armory Contest, the King is too busy to attend to guests and the receptionist advises them to win the tournament to have an audience.
They don’t attend at first and detour to the town of Linga to get the book from Krosse Cave translated. The linguist refuses to see them and they ask one of his close friends, Bowman, for his aid. His help doesn’t come free though; they have to search for a rare herb in the Sanctuary of Linga. Once the herb was retrieved, the linguist agrees to meet with them and tells them it will take some time to translate the book, but it will be done. She ends up recruiting Bowman at his insistence and they head back to Laceur to join the tournament.
Rena herself doesn’t join, but Claude enters instead to face off against Dias. During the night, Rena decides to get some fresh air and meets up with Dias who still hasn’t found a weapon sponsor. She recommends someone named Gamgee since she was searching with his granddaughter, Sufia, for a candidate. Nothing else really happens in the tournament except that Claude loses, but they still are able to have an audience with the king. Opera joins sometime in order to find her companion, Ernest.
When they finally meet with the King, the King reveals that they are developing a weapon called the Laceur Hope to fend off the demons. This is where a child genius named Leon is introduced and the group helps him complete the weapon by accompanying him to the Hoffman Ruins to retrieve energy stones. However, when they’re outside the ruins, Ernest appears, but possessed by a ghost. They defeat the spirit, freeing him from its grasp, but with Opera and Ernest reunited they decide to leave. Rena offers for them to join for a while though and they accept.
Anyway, they venture inside the ruins to retrieve the energy stones and they complete the Laceur Hope. It is then transferred to the front lines where it decimates a wave of demons. During this front line battle, Dias joins the party after much persuasion from Rena.
With the Laceur Hope complete and demonstration of its power, they load it onto a ship bound for the continent of Ell. However, on that ship, they were attacked by a strong demon named Cynne who deflected a shot from the weapon and destroyed it. Everyone on board ends up jumping off the ship and they awaken on the shores of the Ell continent.
The group reunites in a small village before they head towards the town of Eluria which is the base of the demons. Within that town there is a tower which holds the Sorcery Globe. As the party was half-way through the tower, Claude is beamed somewhere (back to the Calnus) by his transmitter, much to the disbelief of everyone present. After two hours, Claude finally comes back and was berated by Rena for leaving so suddenly. He apologized and comforted her before leaving behind his transmitter.
Once they reach the top, they meet the Ten Wise Men who reveal that the Sorcery Globe was sent by them to alter the planet, Expel’s, orbit. This alteration would be used to crash into Energy Nede (which is protected by an advanced energy shield) and allow them entry to the isolated planet. From this encounter, they also reveal that Rena is a Nedian, Opera/Ernest are Tetregeniot (if recruited), and Claude is an Earthling which surprised and confused everyone present. Before the impact of Expel, a member of the Ten Wise Men attacks the group and effortlessly defeated them.
They awaken inside Energy Nede in an area, known to Rena, as the Outer Wall Paradise. Almost everyone, other than Claude, Opera, and Ernest, are clueless to the fact that Expel ceases to exist, but they keep that detail to themselves in the meantime. Anyway, they are beckoned to a transporter by a person named Nall and they are transported to Central City.
Turns out Nall is the mayor of Central City and asks for their aid in defeating the Ten Wise Men. He reveals that the Nedians power has decreased in their billion years of isolation and that the group is their only hope in beating them. He also explains the history of the Ten Wise Men and informs them they have taken over a city called Phynal.
However, to have efficient travel within this continent, Nall informs them that they should head to North City to get a Synard. At North City there are artificial Synards and, as they were inputting their data, it goes berserk as a non-Nedian data was entered. This leads them to head to the Cave of Crimson Crystals to obtain the lone wild Synard. This is where they meet Noel, who aids them in this endeavor.
After learning of their accomplishment, Nall orders them to conquer the Fields of Power, Love, Intelligence, and Courage. By completing these areas, they are able to merge their powers with the ones of Nede. Sometime during this journey they recruit Chisato after finding her business card lying around.
With the powers of Nede, they begin their journey to Phynal. However, there happens to be some sort of shield surrounding the city so they head for L’Aqua to ride a beast known as a Herush to bypass the shield underwater. The Ten Wise Men anticipated this though and demonstrated their new antimatter cannon that ripped through the Calnus who was still searching for Claude nearby. Claude flew into a rage at that and, again, was easily defeated by the Ten Wise Men.
As they retreat, Nall revealed that the destructive power was caused by the Symbol of Annihilation which is basically creating a giant black hole that makes the universe collapse on itself. He also unveils that Expel is gone, but that there is a chance to bring it back if they used the power of all the cities. However, since Phynal is taken, they are unable to do it at the moment.
At any rate, even though they have the powers from the fields, Nall devised another way to beat the Ten Wise Men by giving the group improved weapons and a counter to the Symbol of Annihilation. To get the blueprints of the improved weapons, they had to visit the Symbology Weapons Laboratory. This is where Rena learns of her parent’s demise due to an accident in their experiments 700 million years ago. It wasn’t fool-proof, but Rena was placed in a small box during space-time displacement and was successfully sent into present day. Shocked by this information, Rena ran into the woods before Claude came and comforted her.
After calming down and returning to the group, Dr. Mirage begins her construction of the weapons with LEA metal. She sends the group to Fun City for a break and to practice fighting simulations against the Ten Wise Men. Once they obtain their weapons, Zaphkiel of the Ten Wise Men attacked as they’re about to being their final practice run. Once they defeat him, they exit the simulation to defeat Jophiel. Then they head to Armlock to defeat Metatron who was aiming for Dr. Mirage.
Nall learned of their victory and informs them he found a counter to the Symbol of Annihilation: the Symbol of Divinity so they head for Phynal for their final encounter against the Ten Wise Men. As they enter the tower they encounter Zadkiel, Camael, and Raphael at the entrance and defeat them. Following their demise, they confront Michael, Haniel, and Lucifer. With only one Ten Wise Men remaining, they face off against Gabriel at the top.
However, at his defeat, the Symbol of Annihilation activates which Rena promptly used the Symbol of Divinity to counter. It didn’t completely stop the Annihilation symbol though; rather, it directed all that energy to Energy Nede instead of the entire universe. Before the Symbol completely activates, Nall uses the power of the cities to bring back Expel and send the group back to their planet.
Annnnd that’s the end of the game. But, since she’s from pre-Blue Sphere here is some additional information about what happens afterward.
Basically, Claude invites her, Precis, and Leon to Earth with him. While she was reluctant to go, she relented and went on the insistence of Westa. On Earth, she studied the science of medicine and completed the four-year course in the span of two years. During this time she would also remain in contact with Chisato who is assisting her in detailing the history of Nede/Energy Nede. Based on her canon point, she’s about to embark on her first Federation mission with Claude, but she gets sent to the Ingres instead, yay.
